On Friday, January 17 2025, Subsea Connect signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Mac Laren Shipyards, marking the beginning of a strategic partnership focused on expanding integrated support services across Latin America.
Mac Laren brings deep experience in vessel maintenance and repair, while Subsea Connect contributes specialised expertise in dynamic positioning, propulsion control, and automation systems. Together, this collaboration enhances the ability to provide offshore and maritime operators with coordinated, high-quality support during dry dock periods.
As part of this partnership, Subsea Connect now has a local presence in Brazil, including dedicated service personnel and on-site capabilities. This enables faster response times, better logistical coordination, and more direct support for regional clients.
A key benefit of the partnership is the expansion of our one-stop-shop approach. While vessels undergo scheduled maintenance at Mac Laren’s facilities, Subsea Connect can perform specialised system service and upgrades at the same time. This reduces downtime, simplifies planning, and increases efficiency for operators who require multiple systems to be serviced in parallel.
This agreement is a practical step forward in our ongoing commitment to provide reliable, integrated, and regionally accessible solutions to the maritime and offshore industries.
